Sermon Summary

In I Corinthians 12, Paul compares the church to the body.  Just as each part of the body has a role to play - whether the ear to hear or the eye to see - so too does each part of the church body have an important role to play.  In this sermon, Pastor Sam encourages us to realize that we all have been given essential roles in the church body to play and that we ought to play our roles well for the sake of the church.  Through serving one another in the church, we as a community point to the one who has given us those gifts and given his son for us - God himself. In conclusion, we need to "Get in the game for the glory of God".  It all ultimately is points back to him.

The New Temple Series

We look into the book of I Corinthians to discover God's blueprint for the church. As a young church here in the city of Detroit, we have a lot to learn and to grow in as we strive to live out God's promises. This series, The New Temple, is a series of sermons on God's plan for the church.
